When it comes to Netflix and chill, there are a lot of options that you can stream. From fiction to rom-com, sit-com, to stand-up comedy to anime and cartoons and whatnot. If you love watching animated series, here are some of the titles available on Netflix that are worth watching:
- RICK AND MORTY
Wubba lubba Dub Dub! – A famous catchphrase from the loved Adult Swim series, none other than Rick and Morty. Not an original Netflix series, Rick and Morty is an Adult Swim classic of a mad genius scientist going on intergalactic adventures with his fretful but good-hearted grandson, Morty. They fight against evil forces, breaking intergalactic rules, meeting aliens, and traveling dimensions. Rick lives with his daughter, Beth, who is married to a man named Jerry, and they have two children – Morty and Summer. An extremely ordinary family who happens to be related to the boozy but brilliant scientist, Rick. This show shows Rick’s way of living that is extremely practical and apathetic; he likes to live dangerously despite his age. While Beth and jerry solve their own family problems and are deeply concerned about Rick’s influence on their son. If you enjoy adventures and dank humor, you would love this show.
- DISENCHANTMENT
The show is about a tom-boyish, rebel princess who was forced to marry a prince from another country but she disapproved of the marriage, as it was nothing more than a peace alliance between the two countries. The princess, Bean, doesn’t want to be tied to a meaningless agreement when she doesn’t even like or know her fiancé. She wants to go on adventures and live a life of freedom and close to nature. It is when she is trying to get rid of her obnoxious fiancé she meets Elfo, an elf who wanted to see what’s outside of the “happy bubble” or homeland the elves have been living in for decades. He too seeks adventures along with Princess Bean to experience what it’s like to be sad. Princess Bean also mysteriously encounters a creature who claims to be her personal demon. The series is adventurous, humorous, and very exciting to watch.
- FINAL SPACE
Gary, who has been a prisoner in space, is nearing the end of his lonely prison sentence when he encounters a cute green alien, Mooncake. Soon after Gary finds himself protecting Mooncake from vicious bounty hunters, as he discovers that the adorable little Mooncake has planet-destroying capabilities. To prevent Mooncake from getting into dangerous hands he sets on an adventure to save the universe, and in fact, save Mooncake from being used for evil plans. He meets people along the way who are willing to help him through his adventures to keep the universe a safe place. This light-hearted but funny show is bound to make your weekend a pleasant one. So go ahead and binge-watch two seasons of Final Space on Netflix.
- SOUTH PARK
Get ready to see the world through the eyes of shrewd, foul-mouthed fourth-graders who run amok in the fictitious Colorado town of South Park. These four kids, Kyle, Stan, Cartman, and Kenny have no off button and are always full of energy, sarcasm, and bluntness. This comedy sitcom is nothing but hilarious; if you are the person who enjoys keeping up-to-date with trends, celebrities but also does not hold back from sarcastic, ironic humor, then you will enjoy this show a lot. These annoying kids are nothing but realists and do what they think is best, displaying a lack of intellect and dumbness in some situations. It’s an extremely long-running show with tons of episodes, you can watch it whenever you want to relax and have a good laugh after work or binge-watch on weekends.
- BOJACK HORSEMAN
BoJack Horseman is the most beloved sitcom horse of the ’90s, who is tired of the world and its ways. His experiences have turned him into a depressed soul who keeps pondering over life and its meaninglessness. One day he decides to snap out of his self – loathing and make a comeback again to regain his dignity. With the aid of a human sidekick and a feline ex-girlfriend who is his agent, he sets out to make it happen. BoJack is feeling challenged and often demotivated, because Hollywood has drastically changed from his time and he is finding it hard to adapt to new trends like Twitter, to stay in the league. This sitcom has an intellectual side to it along with comedy as it brings forward issues of addiction and struggles of those in this industry. If you are in the mood of something animated, thought-provoking, humorous, and worth your time, go for BoJack Horseman.
